Downloading and Installation Tutorial
When you click a download link, you will see a dialog box similar to
the one shown here. You may see something slightly different than what is shown here depending on
the Windows version and the browser you are using. On this dialog box,
click the Save button to save the download to your computer.
Next, Windows will ask you where to save the file. It is a good idea to
create a folder to keep all of your downloaded files. But you can save
the downloaded file anywhere on your hard disk. Make note of where you
are saving the file so that you can find it later.
The File name box will display the file you are about to download. Do not
change the File name.
The download will begin. It may take anywhere from a few seconds to
ten or more minutes to download the file, depending on your internet
connection speed. DSL and cable modems are typically very fast, so
the time to download will be quick. A dial-up connection will take longer.
On the download status window, be sure that the "Close this dialog box
when download completes" option is not checked. It will make it easier to find
your downloaded file if this option is not checked.
When the download is complete, click the Run or Open button to begin the
program installation and setup. If you do not see the Download complete
dialog box, you should use Windows Explorer (not Internet Explorer) to
open the folder where the downloaded file was saved. Then double-click the
file to start the installation.
